I was at home recuperating from an odd virus yesterday and spent most of the day relaxing in our back yard in suburban Box Hill (Victoria). >From about 2pm until 6pm, I was joined by a Grey Fantail that was happily foraging from ground level to about 2m and occasionally chasing one of the Brown Thornbills. We have lived in our house for around 25 years and I have never seen a Grey Fantail at home before. In fact, I don't think I've seen one in the Box Hill area but that doesn't mean they're not around. Hopefully, it won't be an isolated visit.
