Hi all,I have just received a phone call from Wyuna (Echuca district) observer Dallas Wyatt who for the past two evenings (Wednesday 25th March and Thursday 26th March 2009) has, he thinks, observed an immature or juvenile Franklins Gull from The Esplanade at Cairns. Dallas invites Cairns observers to check out and, hopefully, verify the sighting. Cairns observers may wish to contact me should they wish to ring Dallas on his mobile for more information. Dallas was acting warden at the Broome BBO during February when a Franklins Gull was observed on the Broome mud flats.
