During the course of my daily work, I came across these two tenders put out by
the Dept of Enviro which I thought may be of interest to the group:

RFT 0809-1589
The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts requires a
Service Provider to develop threat conceptual models and threat indicators for
Australia?s Ramsar sites

AND

RFT 0809-1403
The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts requires a
Service Provider to:
develop a generic site status form to collect relevant data about Australia's
Rasar wetland sites;
adapt/tailor the site status form for each of the 65 Ramsar sites across
Australia;
conduct a pilot study, using the site status forms, involving 15-20 Ramar
sites; and
revise methodology/forms as appropriate.

An aside, we saw a kookaburra in the gardens of the Royal Exhibition Building
in Carlton, Melbourne, on 21st March Saturday morning about 10am. Didn't seem
a common thing to me but would be interested if they are usually around that
area (or were only there to visit the Travel Expo!)

Cheers
