Hi all

The American Golden Plover was still there at 5.30 P.M. yesterday.

Thanks Troy for the excellent directions. The walk along the cliff tops is
more like 2 kms though as it took me nearly half an hour and I wasn't
dawdling as we had to get to the airport to pick up some visitors.

Also the Plovers were at the other end of the beach(just where the rocks run
out) from the Blue Boat Harbour Marine Park sign.

I ran into and also ticked off in the sense of listing another
birding-ausser in Dean Portelli who very kindly pointed me in the direction
of the birds as he was leaving, thanks Dean

Dean had counted 13 Pacific Golden Plovers, I saw 10 and as most are showing
varying stages of breeding plumage and golden hue the AGP stands out ( like
Dog's something or others according to Dean ! :) )

A very scenic spot , also a few Sooty Oystercatchers and a dark phase Easter
Reef Egret amongst Red-necked Stints, Ruddy Turnstones and no doubt lots
more but as my time was limited I didn't hang around.

Thanks again to Tun Pin for finding the bird

Good luck this weekend to all that go looking.

Hope the trip from WA is worth it Frank, I am off to Perth and the south
west on Tuesday.

Cheers
