Have just returned from Bowra Station, Cunnamulla where we went spotlighting
one night for Spotted Nightjar. Saw three over a 2km stretch of road over 30
mins., one hawking over the flats, another flushed by the car (flew straight
up and almost into driver's open window), and the third perched in the
middle of the gravel road. Found no other nightbirds, though didn't stay out
for long.
