from: David Potter Dear Birding-Aus subscribers Sunday 15/3/09 2.30 p.m. Lane Cove River NP, Sydney. Immature little bittern seen from canoe at close range Heavily streaked, no cap but buff shoulder patch visible. About 500m upstream from boathouse on southern side of river. If on land, would be best seen from opposite side of the river (steep banks). Was moving around in riverside vegetation, sometimes perching out in the open on small dead branches. Good luck! =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
