Howdy folks, Just a heads up for anyone who lives/birds in the area of Campsie/Ashbury/Croydon Park and is after a Nankeen Night Heron for the suburb list, there's been a Juvenile showing very well at lowish tide on the Cooks River near the Brighton Avenue bridge over the past couple of days. Best seen from the north side looking south towards the mangroves. While NNH's aren't rare by any stretch of the imagination, this is a very dilapidated stretch of "river" bounded by concrete walls, where numbers of shopping trolleys in the water usually outnumber birds.
