Donald Trounson was author of a couple of photographic books on Australian birds including Australian Birds, Simply Classified. In case anyone out there had met him, I thought I should convey the news that he passed away a few weeks ago, at the age of 103. He seems to have led a varied life, including having competed in the Monte Carlo car rally with Donald Healey (founder of Austin Healey cars) as long ago as 1929!
