I've just arrived back from 6 days of woodland bird surveys between Tarcutta
& Albury in the Riverina area of NSW. I've been conducting these surveys
once every 3 months for the last 21 months. This latest survey is the first
time that I have not recorded any Red Wattlebirds.

Hi Everybody,
Just adding my own note. Ever since the heat-wave have not seen any
Wattlebirds on my daily trip to work on which I would normally see
several every day in the Adelaide plains. Maybe they retreated to the
hills. Just unusual to not see this very common bird.
Cheers
