I just checked to see how many times this spam was posted. The thread runs from
/1998-08/msg00449.html to /1998-08/msg01568.html - 1120 messages! No wonder
there are a few unsubscription messages on the list around that time.

Subject: Funny archives search results

I've noticed occasionally when I'm searching the archives that it's very common
to have some ads for toner returned in the results, no matter what the search
terms, e.g:
http://bioacoustics.cse.unsw.edu.au/archives/html/birding-aus/1998-08/msg01238.html

None of my search terms occur in that spam posting from 1998. Does anyone have
any idea why this might be happening, and whether that whole spam thread can be
removed from the archives?
