Prompted by Mike's email I have these sightings to report.
24/02/09 Kairi - Atherton Rd
40 Spinetails & 6 Needletails heading south-east at 5 to 30 metres
25/02/09 just south of Malanda
6 Needletails feeding with Australian Swiftletts from grass tops to 30
metres.
Heard a report that the swinhoe's snipe is still there at Tinaburra.
Heard Red-necked Crakes calling all along the road near Cassowary House,
Kuranda. Also heard calling at Wongabel and Halloran's Hill. This is the
first time I have heard one at Halloran's Hill as far as I can remember.
Male Cicadabirds also very noisy at Tolga Scrub, Halloran's Hill in Atherton
and Petersen Creek in Yungaburra.
Little and Azure Kingfishers seen at Tarzalli Lakes Fish Farm on 24th and
25th.
