Hi Trevor,
Every indication by location, behaviour, size and appearance that it is a juvenile White-browed Scrubwren. In particular, there is a suggestion of both the white facial markings as well as the little white mark on the edge of the wing that is right in the middle of the bird in your picture.
Cheers,
Merrilyn

Hi there birders,

A few weeks ago I saw and photographed a bird in the Botanic Gardens in Canberra. It was White-browed scrubwren size and was seen in the fern gully near the entrance.

I am having trouble identifying it. If any of you have time and would like to help me, a photo can be seen here:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Trevor
