One WTN flew down the Sphinz Memorial Road and through the car park this
evening sbout 8.15 p.m.

Nightjars calling from about > 8:20pm and in the gloaming saw 2 hawking in the
distance over the ridge that > carries the Bobbin Head Track. Two were calling
from this area, but one of > the birds called from very near the car park (if
one is looking out over the > sphinx's head at the flagpole, it was over my
left shoulder, so in the bush > a little way back up the entrance road). It
called quite load and clear > three times over a 15 minute period and then
silence, which means it may > have left to hunt for the evening?> I also heard
