Indeed, they were still there this morning and I watched them before it got too hot. I was disappointed to read on birdpedia about an observer flushing them the day before. Today after I left two birders walked right into the mud/samphire area where I had seen them roosting (together with Greater and Lesser Sandplovers). I would have thought people had more common sense than to get unnecessarily close to these birds.
