Hi allBoth a single Lewins Rail and Spotless Crake still in their spot under the papyrus at the Triangle Pond this evening (20 January; 6:30-7pm at least) - seen by 5 observers. Conditions were a bit tricky due to looking towards the setting sun, which made using the scope hard, but both birds came out and showed well - I should think I increased my cumulative sighting time of both species by about 100 fold! Also a Buff Banded Rail on a pond near the spiral pyramid thingy and 25 Red Necked Avocet at the water bird refuge.
