I first raised the question as to whether Tobias' report of 12 Wandering
Tattlers at Hastings Point was correct as in my experience the species is
usually only seen as single birds or in pairs in New South Wales. From the
responses it appears that up to 8 Wandering Tattlers have been seen
regularly at Hastings Point and in southern Queensland. I have not received
a response from Tobias as yet and it would be interesting to know if the 12
birds were seen together. It would also be good to see the photos.
An interesting exercise in which I have learnt a bit more about the Wandering Tattler in New South Wales. Greg Clancy |
