Hi all, Greg Oakley, Murray Grant, Wallie Coles, Helen O'Donnell and I observed a single Hudsonian Godwit today (Sunday 11 January) around 11:00 pm at the T-section of the spit at the WTP. It was first seen in the second pond from the gate and then flew and landed in the first pond. Distinguished by slightly smaller size when compared to 2 nearby Black-tailed Godwit, and the distinctive large area of black wing linings in flight. Cheers, Tim Dolby ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
