Today at dawn we were delighted to have 2 juv. Little Bitterns in the scope
when another came into frame.
These 3 remained in view for well over an hour. At 6.40am the Female much
further along the west bank gave a fleeting view before ducking into reeds. She
later returned to her original hide-out a half hour later.
Many thanks to Rob Morris who first alerted me/us to the Little Bitterns.

It's now been 2 days of great sightings. Thanks also to John Hammond for
collecting Allan and myself from the bridge and taking us down the
track. He even set his scope up for me of shorter height. I love birdos
generosity!
What a great way to start the day.

Happy Birding Burney
