Speaking of bird street names, Katoomba has Gang Gang Street. It's a short but prominent street in the heart of the town, right next to the railway station. Must seem like an odd name for anyone not familiar with the bird. Although Gang-gangs are a regular sight around Katoomba, it's been a while since I've seen any in Gang Gang Street.

Cheers,

Carol

We have an impressive array of bird names in an estate in Werribee -
Pardalote, Nightjar, Corella, Wattlebird, Currawong, Sitella etc. Most can
at least be found in the Melbourne area - but the whole thing then gets
somewhat confusing as the main road in is Cassowary Ave!
