I am not sure which post you are responding to. Perhaps you could describe
your bird to us? Even though the nest is high have you tried to see if the
parents will come and feed the bird if it lower down? You might be able to
set up an artificial nest from an old ice cream container (put small drain
holes in the bottom) and let mum and dad keep looking after the bird.

Regarding feeding, mince is not ideal because it has poor calcium to
phosphorous ratio but it is good for the moment because the bird needs
energy. Do you have a liquid cal formula?

Do you have access to cicadas, other insects? These are very good foods for
most baby birds. The water is important so well done.

Hi and Merry Xmas,
A young baby similar to your description just dropped out of the nest some
10 meters up.
To high to put back, so would like to help it.
We live in the bush and don't have access to vets or substitute feed so
thought a bit of mince on water would do the trick.
Mouth was open and gave it a few drops of water and 3 granules of mince.
Closed its mouth and seems to be resting.
Any other suggestions please.
Would a fish oil tablet (oil) mixed with the mince be ok.
Thanking you in advance for any help.
