Has anyone seen many Topknot Pigeons lately? I am one year into a two year project surveying Topknots (& other forest birds) in and around the Bellinger Valley in northern NSW, & have not recorded many recently. Last December I counted much greater numbers of Topknots in the Bellinger, and it seems to me that many birds must have left my area. Has anyone seen any Topknots, particularly in large numbers, over the last month or two? And if so, do you know what they have been feeding on?
