I'll be spending a week in Goulburn soon and I'm looking for places to go birding. I came across a few references to Wet Lagoon, which appears to be about half way between Gunning and Goulburn. I used the excellent Geoscience Australia Place names search to find some coordinates. That's at http://www.ga.gov.au/map/names/, thanks Paul Taylor for mentioning it a few weeks ago. So I kind of know where it is: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=-34.815,149.451 but not how to access it, and I'd rather not drive around for an hour working it out. Does anyone know the best way to get in there, etc? And whether it has any water in it? Other birding locations near there, preferably closer to Goulburn rather than further?
