Howdy,

Saw number of Bourke's Parrots (suggest 20+) in the evening and the following
morning at a waterhole around (from memory) 10km south of Paynes Find on the
Great Eastern Highway in late October 08. The waterhole is on the western side
of the highway, and clearly visible from the road.

The birds were there drinking right on dusk and into say half hour of dark, and
then they were there just before dawn and gone shortly after first light in the
morning. So you might need infared cameras!

Hope this helps and good luck.

Cheers,
Craig Brewer

Hi Folks:

I am earnestly still trying to hunt down Bourke's parrot for my doco on Aussie
Parrots.  I missed them at Bowra Station and am now in Western Aus at Port
Hedland.

Does anyone know if Nallan Station is still operable and if that would be a
good region to see Bourke's?  What about Karajini (sp) National Park?

Have any of you folks seen Bourke's recently?  Any leads would be extremely
helpful!

Cheers and thanks for this great and helpful site!

Don
