Hi Everyone,

Again, thanks for the feedback to this topic.  For what it's worth, I 
discovered that City Camera House in Canberra's Civic has quite a good slection 
of binoculars.  They had the Nikon Monarch 8x42 binoculars which I tried and 
they were very good.  However after trying a number of different binoculars, I 
felt that for me, the Bushnell Excursion 8x42 binoculars were nearly as good 
for half the price ($350 as opposed to $700).
