Despite the drought I haven't heard much of Black-tailed Ntive hens down south lately. Today I visited Serendip (near Lara, Vic). At the large pool populated by breeding White Ibis, there was a solitary BTNH on the north bank. Very shy and running under cover every time a Whistling Kite came over.
