Congratulations to Tom and Sue Shepherd, who finished 3rd in the People's
Choice Award in this year's national Landcare Awards!
There were over 70 finalists in this year's categories, so that's a
fantastic achievement. Here's part of the media release:

This year also saw the first People's Choice Award, which was presented by
Jack Thompson to the finalist who received the most votes at
www.landcareheroes.com. Voting closed at midnight on Wednesday 22nd, and
after more than 4,000 votes, it went right down to the wire, with Wyong
Creek Public School rallying 11th hour support to overtake NAILSMA and win
by just 2 votes.
