Gooday birders

Recently drove from Cairns and had several days camping with a friend at
Iron Range in far north Queensland in the Gordon River camp area. Among
a host of new species for myself were highlights of the trip including
the Golden-shouldered Parrot at Artemis Station, helped wonderfully by
Sue Shepherd, Red Goshawk near Musgrave Roadhouse, helped by Ben
Blewitt, and several species at the Iron Range including Palm Cockatoo,
Eclectus Parrot, Red-cheeked Parrot, Northern Scrub-robin, Yellow-legged
Flycatcher, Green-backed Honeyeater, Magnificent Riflebird,
Fawn-breasted Bowerbird etc. Too early for the New Guinea migrants so
will have to go back again.
