Hi folks
A survey of wetlands in the Lake Muir area (75kms east of Manjimup, WA) on the
weekend by a number of BAWA volunteers plus DEC staff resulted in 5 confirmed
records of Australasian Bittern, one of which was seen by most of the crew when
it was flushed at Kulunilup Swamp on the Saturday morning. All 4 of the other
records were of individual birds within the Tordit-Gurrup/Poorginup Swamp
complex on the Saturday night (heard only).
