Hi all

Located 3 Tawny Frogmouths again in Lachlan Swamp in typically cryptic
mid-level locations here, after about an hour spent in the vicinity; all
were roosting separately. Also of note were juvenile Black Duck,
Hardhead and Coot - the latter just a few days out of the nest with
their black and white-tipped red beaks and red and gold head fuzz. The
resident Long-billed Corella flock were joined by a few Little Corellas.
Also seen were Peregrine Falcon, Grey Teal (4), Channel-billed Cuckoo,
and good numbers of Yellow Thornbill and Darter. I have not seen or
heard Clamorous Reed-warbler in the park this spring, which seems
strange - they were in good numbers last year in the ponds behind the
Main Pond where suitable habitat occurs.
