A very good use of time in Yungaburra would be to take a short drive (10 mins)to Lake Barrine National Park and walk round the short circuit track which starts between the car park and the entrance road. There are a variety of rainforest species here, relatively tame and acclimatised. Also in Yungaburra visit the Curtain Fig Tree. This is 5 mins from the village centre. There are not so many birds here but the tree is definitely worth the visit.
