On Stewarts Creek in the Daintree I was watching a Scrubwren feeding
fledgelings when a Black Butcherbird grabbed one of the chichks and started
tearing it apart to feed its fledgling. Suddenly the bank was a flurry of
feathers. A Brown Goshaw had taken the Butcherbird young and rolled down the
bank before flying off with its prey. A food chain rigth before my eyes in a
few lazy moments by a beautiful stream.
