Thanks to everyone who replied to my posting about the python tracking my puppy.

The replies confirmed my thought that the two cannot co-exist. I guess I was just clutching at straws. But for the moment, relocation is a last resort. I will watch the situation, keep the puppy close by, and am going to denude the Chinese Jasmine this evening, so that at least we will be able to see if the python is hanging around. And we have a courtyard in the middle of our house which can be roofed with snake-proof wire if it comes to that. Might as well bring in some caged birds while I am at it (only joking).

Thanks to you all for your thoughts,

Cheers,

Jill

Hi all,

Whilst a little off-topic, I am hopeful that there might be python experts on the list, and able to offer thoughts.

Our garden birds alerted us a few days ago to the presence of an 8 foot python crawling on the house exterior. The python has been around for years. Well, pythons have been around for years at our place, if not this one. And we all co-exist amicably - until now, and I am a little concerned.
