Went out to the site at Penrith yesterday about 7:30 am, saw the Swift
parrots within minutes, still seemed to be 10+ or so them there. They
were mostly up high and flying between the trees in the child care
centre and a flowering gum in the school nearby or to a big tree in the
shopping centre car park, . Got some shots of one that was loafing in a
tree in the pre school, but quite high up. Could hear them calling
regularly, stayed till the wind got up and once that was up they
gradually seemed to disappear. Wondering if they were waiting for a
north wind before heading further south? Thanks to those who replied to
my original RFI.
