Hi, This evening we had a Tawny Frogmouth at the University of Sydney campus (Camperdown/Newtown). Yesterday, I heard a Channel-billed Cuckoo in Leichhardt. Also yesterday, Raja and I rescued a Laughing Kookaburra which was apparently hit by a car and sat on the median of City West Link. While I was handling the bird, it became more and more active and even "laughed" several times loudly. We dropped the bird off at a vet who promised to release it later in the area where we picked it off.
