Jill, Evan and birding-aus,
This morning Raja and I had 12+ Swift Parrots at Jill's spot (thanks, Jill!).
In total there were 7 parrot species in and around these trees:
Little Corella
Sulphur-crested Cockatoo
Rainbow Lorikeet
Scaly-breasted Lorikeet
Musk Lorikeet
Eastern Rosella
Swift Parrot
In addition there was a vocal Eastern Koel.
Cheers,
Nikolas

Jill and other Birders
I went looking for the Swif at Parrots this morning and had no trouble
finding them. There was a flock of 6-10 birds, all feeding in some
flowering eucalypts. I initially checked all the Ironbarks thinking
they looked likely, but i think their bloom might be a little past it
as there were no birds in any of them, the Swifts found in a white
barked euco next to the carpark.
I think I saw a banded bird among the flock, but I must admit I was
really struggling in the harsh sunlight. If I had to declare a colour
I'd say it was a silvery/grey band on the leg of one bird.
