Hi all I work in the World Square Building at 680 George St in Sydney CBD. Recently I have noticed the local Pied Currawongs being a bit more active than usual and it appears that they have started to construct a nest on one of the blinds/louvres that I can see from the window near my desk. It's a pretty scruffy affair at present (it took them a while to work out how to stop the sticks they were using from dropping through the gaps in the louvre). If things look like they are progressing, I will report on progress periodically. With the Channel Billed Cuckoos now showing up, it would be interesting (although not quiet) if the cuckoos discover that there are nesting Currawongs in the CBD and make an attempt on this nest!
