Hi all, A single adult Comb-crested Jacana was seen this morning near the causeway at Colliery Dam (aka John Brown's Lagoon, aka 'Poor Man's Kakadu') by Phil Hansbro and I. This species used to breed at this site and I'm unsure of the last record here (though due to the large amount of suitable habitat present and access restrictions they may have been present but not seen). The lagoon is on private property and peering over the fence is the only way to get a look at the birds.
