Hi Michael,

Having lived in the Clarence Valley (Grafton, Coutts Crossing) north coast NSW, for nearly 30 years I have never personally observed any Blackbirds in the Valley. I have received two second hand reports though. One was an adult male in a backyard in Grafton observed by a man born in England who is very familiar with the species. The second was an immature male photographed in a property on the Brooms Head Road, near Maclean. I viewed the photo and was happy with the ID.

I don't have the dates at hand but the records were submitted to Alan Morris for the NSW Bird Report. I can dig the dates out later if you can't get them easily.

Regards

Greg Clancy
