Giday Birders, following on from recent discussions on bird mortality from
fishing operations I got this email this morning. There is very little
information contained in it, the web site is only one page and the 'new
inventors' site only confirms that the hook is coming up. But if it is as good
as the claim then it will be fantastic.

I have been developing a method to prevent seabird & turtle deaths in long-line
fishing globally. My work has produced the Smart Hook, a way to stop hundreds
of thousands of turtles & seabirds becoming hooked whilst the long-line is
being set throughout the oceans of the world.
