Another pigeon question (after consulting Google):Do Crested Pigeons prefer smaller seeds? Down here I usually see them feeding on grasses out in the open. This contrasts with Common Bronzewings which are much more often under trees or in heathlands (and seem to prefer like those of Black Wattles and Tree Lucerne - similar in size to the wheat which is their most often recorded food). A differential preference in seed size would explain how these species partition their habitats. I know their are some journal articles but I don't fancy forking out $25 a go to see if they answer my question.
