Hi all, Port Macquarie area, Northern beaches, NSWVisited Seale Road swamps on 12 July 2 - 2.30pm - which was full of water, water birds and ducks. Best bird was a Forest Kingfisher sitting at the top of a thin paperbark. At least 37 Glossy Ibis and uncountable Grey Teal, Black Duck and Black Swans with cygnets at all stages. Only raptors were Swamp Harriers and Whistling Kites Further north along the creek were a large group of Royal Spoonbill roosting on a fallen tree in the water - at least 40. Too much water to see any waders. Also about 1pm on Maria River Road at Oaklands Angus Stud were a pair of Brolgas - not there when we drove back past an hour later. =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
