Hi Carl and All In response to Carl re: magpie robbing his chicken wire for nest material. I once had a magpie nest in my possession that contained no less than four wire coat hangers within its structure. The nest was removed from a fallen ornamental pine tree lining a street in Kingscote - the main town on Kangaroo Island, SA.
