Dear All,
I finally got around to viewing the clip on the Foja Mountains from
9MSN. It is a pity the program makers didn't acknowledge the
participation of the Scientists from Australia, Indonesia and the UK
in the expedition. The impression I got was that Beehler conducted the
expedition himself. In fact he was the co-leader, with Herpetologist
Stephen Richards of the South Australian Museum as other co-leader.
The news of the expedition is not exactly new, it featured a lot in
the media in 2006. And it was not the first to the Fojas, they were
first visited by Jared Diamond, who re-discovered the Yellow-fronted
Gardener-Bowerbird, in 1979.
If anyone would like to read a bit more on the subject, there is
plunty if you Google Foja or have a look at http://wapedia.mobi/en/Foja_Mountains
and

Cheers,
Carl Clifford
