I was recently at a little reserve at Jacobs Well, on the coast between
Southport and Brisbane and saw Rainbow Bee-eaters. I thought it unusual
and thought they were either late heading north or early heading south.
Maybe global warming allows them to over winter further south than
usual.

This morning we saw a pair doing their thing at Darra, a western
suburb of Brisbane.
