Hi Nikolas,
Grey-tailed Tattler and Red-necked Stints are commonly at Long Reef.
Not doubting the possibility of something different of course, but
they are the "usual suspects" you would expect to see there.
Cheers

Long Reef:
Black-browed Albatross: 1 adult (melanophrys)
Great Cormorant: 2
TATTLER spec.: 3 on the rocks in the water (good habitat for
Wandering Tattler)
Ruddy Turnstone: 6+ on the rocks in the water
STINT spec.: 11+ on the rocks in the water (looked scaly, I think
they were imm. Red-necked Stints)
Double-banded Plover: 8 on the rocks in the water
Silver Gull: many
Crested Tern: many
White-fronted Tern: 4
Has anybody else had better looks at the tattlers and the stints?
Cheers,
Nikolas
