Hi everyone, Was out in Centennial Park, Sydney, this morning, and came across a bird I haven't been able to identify after I accidentally flushed around six or seven of them from some long grass. I only got a few seconds' look at them (and hastily snapped a couple of very grainy photos) before they disappeared into long grass again a few seconds later. They were plump, smallish (around 20cm), and I though they might be some kind of quail, but I'm not sure? If anyone could please help with identifying them, I'd really appreciate it. Photos are temporarily posted here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/roryhome/2557610558/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/roryhome/2556788105/ Thanks, Rory =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
