The location of the possible Ground Parrot sighting is about 500 metres from where the injured bird was collected in 2006. With a dedicated group of volunteers we carried out a couple of weeks dusk/dawn survey work using tap playback. The most likely response call came from over towards Magic Point (where there had been fire in the previous decade) but two low level possibiles also came from the area described. Is anyone organizing survey work - I would be keen to help.
