At 10.30 am, the Bassian Thrush was feeding on mown grass in the shade
of
the belt of trees at the west end of the Oval. It did its best to avoid
notice by adopting a cryptic attitude, holding head in line with back -
looking very like the end of a broken branch.  I really had to look
twice.
  No Powerful Owl, no Azure Kingfisher though.
