Just following on from Nathan's Pictorella Finch sighting.

Desperately trying to find an Arafura Fantail for Peter Marsh at Lawn Hill the other day, Jack and I found a Spectacled Monarch.

Peter will prepare a trip report shortly I think.

Just interested whether there are other records that far west ....
it appears to be a long way from previous Australian mainland records.
(although they are found in Indonesia, so maybe not so surprizing)

Peter will prepare a trip report shortly I think

Jack's 600 was Mangrove Grey Fantail.........601 was Great-billed Heron
at Karumba....would have been a more stately 600 I think.

After 4 attempts, I finally had good views (and dodgy pics) of Carpentarian
Grasswren........pew........A performing Rufous-crowned Emu-wren on a termite mound was the best memory.

Cheers,

Bill
