Good news, just got this email from the ABC:
Thank you for your email. As you would be aware, the ABC experienced a
significant equipment failure on Sunday evening, causing the loss of the
ABC TV broadcast during Australia: Land of Parrots. On behalf of the ABC
I apologise for any inconvenience caused by this transmission failure.
You may be pleased to know that the ABC will repeat the broadcast of
Australia: Land of Parrots in Victoria at 4pm this Saturday afternoon,
10 May. This broadcast will be available on both analogue and standard
definition digital transmissions on ABC1, but due to technical
limitations it will not be available on the high definition digital
service.
The ABC also has the rights to re-screen the series East of Everything,
however no date has been scheduled to re-screen the final episode at
this stage.
